REFLECTION LETTER

My name is Lauren Coyle. I am 19 years old and I am engaged to my High School Sweetheart. We are getting married on June 19th, 2010. I wanted to wait until next year so I finished college with an associate’s degree. I plan on majoring in Criminal Justice. I am hoping that I can take my Criminal Justice degree and use it towards social work or become a victim’s advocate. I chose to take English 101D because it is a diversity credit and also I wanted to experience a different kind of English than what I am use to. The last English class I took was English 98, but it was an everyday class. I think that this class was really hard because it was online. I think that I would have done better taking this class in person.
Taking this English class has been such a struggle with me. I have realized that I am horrible at writing papers. In high school I was the same way but I was excellent at writing poems. I’ve realized that I love reading Shakespeare and different plays and writing poems. I really do not enjoy writing papers or essays. I think that I need to take a class that revolves around Shakespeare and poems. I have learned a lot in this class though. I am grateful that I took this class to see where my faults lay. I really hope that my writing skills will improve, and that I can succeed in a different English class, because I really didn’t succeed in this one. I have learned that my calling is not English, but I am hoping to take something from this English class and apply it to whatever my calling may be.

  1. That has to be an intersting major. After watching CSI, I wanted to do that. Good luck with school. Oh, I think everyone has struggled in this class.

  3. I have to agree that this class was not my favorite but I will take what I learned and put it into what my future holds. Good job on the project.
